Decorate your home, office, or garden with any type of topiary with exquisite topiary trees which are commonly used. Most outdoor topiary plants are natural but you can also use artificial topiaries which are commonly used in office environments.
Most manufactures can keep a wide range of plants which can be used outside as well as inside. You can choose the one which you like and use accordingly. Be it for outside or the inside topiary plants require a good maintenance schedule. Outside topiary plants become a little difficult maintain and you may have to learn a few guidelines on this.
What do I have to know about outdoor topiary?
Depending on the plant you used you have to know the amount of watering needed for outdoor plants.
Regularity of your watering for your outside topiary plant is dependent on the extent, site, and plant substance used. Please follow what directions given by the gardener closely and also follow the instructions of the nursery to the letter. You can also try to simply soak the plant substrate as wet as possible by completely immersing in water.
Use a large container with the water hose as you need to really soak the moss, it's not enough to simply mist the plant .Make sure that the foam or the moss of the form is completely submerged in water. You don't have to worry about rotting as most outdoor topiary die from under-watering not over watering. So please water well to have a healthy outdoor topiary plant.
You have to fertilize the outdoor topiary at least two or three times a month. Depending on the type of plant you can reduce the type amount of fertilization to about once a month.
With proper maintenance the outdoor topiary plant will continue to grow in place. But to make the outdoor topiary look neat make sure you have pined all extra strands in place as too many unsightly outgrowths can change the shape of your topiary
If you want to move the outdoor topiary indoor then treat as you would any indoor topiary.
Wash the leaves of your outdoor topiary well to prevent any pests. You may have to spray the outdoor topiary to keep out pests, like, squirt with a solution of 1 spoon of vegetable oil, 1 spoon of liquid dish detergent and 1 spoon of water.
If you follow the instructions carefully you can have a flourishing outdoor topiary which will also flourish inside your home.

Topiary Tip #1
You must use patience when tending and creating your topiary project. They grow slowly and if you rush and trim too much or too deep into your topiary plant you could wind up killing it.

If you do not have a green thumb or don't have the time to take care of a live topiary plant that doesn't mean that you can't enjoy your own topiary. Take a look at some of the artificial topiary creations that are made out of silk. They are extremely lifelike, require zero maintenance and will last forever.

Topiary Tip #3
Start Small. If you are new to creating and growing topiary, then it is highly recommended that you start with a small topiary project like a ball or a vine ladder and stick with that until you get the hang of it. It would be a shame to get into a project over your head and wind up ruining your topiary.
